BIOGRAPHY
Anne-Laure Hulin began her musical journey at the age of 6, studying the flute under the guidance of her mother, also a flutist. However, it was singing that captured her interest and curiosity when she joined the prestigious Radio France choir in 2004. She holds a master's degree in opera singing with honors from the Paris Conservatory of Music and Dance (CNSMDP) in the class of Elène Golgevit, Charlotte Bonneu, and Frédéric Rubay.
Throughout her career, Anne-Laure has had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, and the Orchestre de Paris, under the baton of eminent conductors such as Daniele Gatti, François-Xavier Roth, Paavo Järvi, and Daniel Harding. She has performed in prestigious venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris and the Radio France Auditorium.
Her keen interest in the Baroque repertoire has led her to collaborate with renowned artists such as Sébastien Daucé, Christophe Coin, Damien Guillon, Lionel Meunier, and Raphaël Pichon. She also works with the Maîtrise de Notre Dame choir and participates in festivals such as the Festival de Musique Baroque de Pontoise and the Bach Orléans Festival.
Passionate about contemporary music, Anne-Laure participates in prestigious masterclasses, notably that of Barbara Hannigan at the Opéra Comique in 2020. In 2023, she will perform the soprano solo part in Ligeti's Aventures et Nouvelles Aventures with the Ensemble Maja at the Festival Présences at Radio France, the Atelier Lyrique in Tourcoing, the ENSEMS festival in Valencia, Spain, and the Théâtre de l'Athénée in Paris in February 2024.
Anne-Laure won first prize in the Hector Berlioz competition in 2019 as well as first prize in the Les Clés d’Or competition. She is also a laureate of the Williamson Foundation at the Académie de Musique du Festival des Arcs.
On the opera stage, Anne-Laure made her debut as Papagena and then Pamina in Mozart's The Magic Flute. In 2021, she played the role of Adina in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore, conducted by Laure Deval, in several major venues in the Île-de-France region. She also played Eurydice in Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice, conducted by Benjamin Fau, as well as the role of Rosita in Offenbach's Un Mari à la Porte at the CNSMDP. She will play Le Feu, Le Rossignol, and La Pastourelle in the Philharmonie de Paris and CNSMDP co-production of Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortilèges in March 2024, a production that will be revived in Dinard in April 2025. She will play Acis in Handel's Acis, Galatea e Polifemo with the baroque ensemble Le Stagioni, touring the Hauts-de-France region throughout the 2025–2026 season.
Still passionate about choral music, Anne-Laure now sings with prestigious ensembles such as the Ensemble Pygmalion conducted by Raphaël Pichon, the Ensemble AEDES conducted by Mathieu Romano, the Ensemble Correspondances conducted by Sébastien Daucé, and the Ensemble Les Métaboles conducted by Léo Warynski.
Since 2021, Anne-Laure has been regularly involved with the Tournesol-Artistes à l'Hôpital association, bringing music to hospital patients through bedside performances and regular concerts. She forms a trio with Charlotte Bozzi (soprano) and Martin Leterme (guitarist), offering a repertoire ranging from baroque music to jazz. She also participates in a vocal trio with Marie-Cécile Hebert (soprano) and Lauriane Le Prev (alto), with whom she is scheduled to perform for the 2023/2024 season of Jeunes Talents.
